LAUREN & JOSH {REAL WEDDING}
Lauren and Josh were married recently at the beautiful Marriott Waterside Downtown. What an amazing couple they are. It was a pleasure to work with them while planning their special day. I would also like to mention that they have the best support system I have ever encountered. Their Parents, Bridesmaids and even the Groomsmen were certainly concerned with ever aspect of this couples special day. It was great working with each and every one of them! Thank you to all of the amazing vendors that played a special part in making Lauren & Josh's wedding one day that will NEVER be forgotten! All though this chapter has closed, it gives me great pleasure to know that I have made lifelong friends...Lauren & Josh, Chic wishes you a marriage full of LOVE LOVE and more LOVE! Greg and Elizabeth met in November 2009, at a U.S. Marine Corps Ball that was held in Crystal City, Virginia. Elizabeth was a guest of one of her college friends who used to be a Marine. In the weeks following the ball, Elizabeth began to hang out with the group that she attended the ball with pretty frequently, and on December 9, Greg and his roommate Katherine invited her out for bowling and drinks for her birthday. There were drinks, Wii bowling, a 2am fire alarm that forced them to walk down 18 flights of steps, and a classic piece of $7 cake (that Greg insists she repay him for) that won her heart over. On October 24, 2010 Greg enlisted the help of Elizabeth’s best friend Andrea, and while she was at church, they laid out 100 ring boxes, surrounded in rose petals, with only one of them containing the engagement ring. After Elizabeth went through about 90 of the boxes, she finally found it, and Greg asked for her hand in marriage. Greg and Elizabeth reside in Fairfax, Virginia with their dog Oscar J. Poopsakins, and both work in Tysons, Virginia. Greg works for Dell computers, and is pursuing his bachelor’s in Security Management, and Elizabeth works at Navigant Consulting, and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Thank you Elizabeth & Greg for choosing Chic Designs & Fabulous Events to be part of the most important day of your lives. We are really looking forward to it!

Though Geoff and Rachael had many of the same friends, and both attended the University of Florida, they somehow never crossed paths until Rachael's last year at UF! After being set up on a blind date (by his Big Brother in Delta Chi) and hitting it off, Geoff asked Rachael out for their first "real" date! He took her to Dragonfly restaurant and pulled out all the stops, a "Washington" bottle of wine in honor of their families and a yummy sushi dinner. As they walked out of the restaurant holding hands, they knew they were in trouble! After that Christmas (07!), they began dating and have been together ever since! A semester after they met, Rachael graduated with a degree in Marketing and moved to Tampa. 2 1/2 years of long distance began! After countless miles traveled, many car tuneups, and several phone minutes later, their relationship was still stronger than ever and they started talking about spending their lives together! (See the Proposal page next!!). Rachael knew she had finally found that perfect Gator man! (God forbid she marry a Seminole! Sorry Chris & Jess!) Geoff then also graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Human Nutrition and started planning to attend Pharmacy School. (He starts this next fall!) Now, after the perfect proposal, they are off on the new and exciting adventure of planning a wedding and their future lives together!! And they would have chosen none other than yours truly Chic Designs & Fabulous Events to assist in all of the fine details that are taking place on such a special day of their lives. Thank you Rachael & Geoff for trusting and believing in us. I am counting down the days until we head to the beautiful Casa Monica.

2011 is going to be THE year for CHIC! We are so excited to announce that Chic Designs & Fabulous Events is MOVING to its NEW location in March. We have grown out of our current location so we decided to expand.
The new studio will give our clients exclusive use of the area for consultants as often as needed...no need to meet at Starbuck's or Crate & Barrel anymore...become a CHIC Bride and use the CHIC studio.
